And "a good time was had by all" never fails to make me laugh. My high school principal said that all the time about everything over the PA. And he called our high school "Eagleland" because we were the Godwin Eagles.

for some reason, i love that phrase. it's sort of reminds me of generic 1950s society column speak. it's kind of presumptuous. how the hell do i know that everyone had a good time? but there was lots of laughter and alcohol, so i guess it's a safe assumption.
